ANTISPERM ANTIBODY
Immunological factors play an important role in infertility. It has been found that antibodies produced against sperm cause a decrease in the
activity of sperms. These anti
bodies can be directed against any part of sperm. The resultant sperms with its antibody may have various
functional defects leading to infertility.

- To detect antibodies in male blood against sperm in cases of
- Varicocele
- Trauma of testis
- Torsion of testis
- Epididymitis
- Chronic infection
- For diagnosis of causative factors of male infertility (male blood is tested).
- For diagnosis of causative factors of female infertility (female blood is tested).
- IVF techniques may have to be
employed in such cases for pregnancy.
