IS STRENOUS EXERCISE THE BEST? Yes! The best exercise is prolonged and strenuous. To be considered physically fit, you need to be able to maintain a pulse rate of 114 to 164, depending upon your age for at least 1 hour. This 1-hour minimum of strenuous activity may be divided into no fewer than 3 sessions of 20 minutes or 4 sessions of 15 minutes each. If you can meet this level of exertion, chances are your heart and circulation are developed enough to provide substantial protection against heart attack. An aerobics program is the most realistic exercise plan for who are busy and not especially athletic. Aerobics exercises are those aimed at building your heart and lung capacity through gradually increasing levels of exertion.
