Kegels pelvic floor exercises
Step 1
The patient lies on her back keeping her knees straight and ankles crossed.
The gluteal muscles are tightened and relaxed similarly followed by adductors.
Follow this by contractions of the rectal and urinary sphincters in succession followed by relaxation.
Spread the contractions to lower abdominals and relax.
Step 2
Dorsiflexion of the ankles gives a stronger contraction of the sphincters
