TENTH WEEK
By the end of this
week, the baby is about 4.5 cm long and weighs about five grams. Normal development
includes:
- Continued development of the eyes, which can be easily recognized below the unformed
eyelids.
- Completion of the inner parts of the ear.
- Beginning of the development of the external part of the ear.
- Continued development of the internal organs.
- Formation of ankles and wrists and further development of fingers and toes.
- Proper formation of the umbilical cord through which the mothers blood circulates
in foetus.
