FRENCH TOMATO
RING:
Cooking time- 10minutes
You will need:
- 575 ml of fresh tomato pulp
- 1 clove garlic or 1 chopped onion
- ½ tsp celery salt
- 20 gms Gelatine
- Cheese or meat
- Bay leaf
- Clove
- Salt and pepper
- Hot water
- Salad
METHOD
- Cook the tomato pulp with flavouring and seasoning and,
when well flavoured, rub through a coarse sieve.
- Dissolve gelatine in the water and mix all
together with cooked tomato pulp.
- Put into a border mould and allow to set.
- Turn out by dipping quickly 2 or 3 times in hot water.
- Serve with fresh green salad and diced
cheese or meat in centre of ring.
