TOASTED MUESLI
You will need:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup rice or wheat flakes
- ½ cup chopped
nuts
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
- ½ cup wheat germ
- 1 tblspn polyunsaturated vegetable oil
- ¾ cup mixed dried fruit, eg chopped apricots, sultanas, raisins, dates
METHOD
- Lightly smear a baking tray with oil.
- Mix together all the dry ingredients except
the fruit.
- Spread on tray and sprinkle with oil.
- Bake in a moderately slow oven (160° c)
until the mixture turns golden brown, stirring frequently. Cool and then add the dried
fruit.
- Make 14 serves 1/3 cup per serve.
