APPLE CHUTNEY 
Cooking time  45 minutes 
You will need: 
  - 900 g of cooking apples
 
  - 500 gms large onions
 
  - 350 gms seedless raisins
 
  - 3 gills malt vinegar
 
  - 4 artificial sweetener tablets
 
  - 2 tsps powdered ginger
 
  - 1 tblspn salt
 
  - ½ tsp pepper
 
 
METHOD 
  - Peel and core apples and peel onions.
 
  - Chop both finely with the raisins
 
  - Add rest of ingredients and put into saucepan.
 
  - Simmer till the mixture is quite soft then add the
    artificial sweetener tablets or sugar substitute.
 
  - Stir well and beat to a pulp
 
  - When cold put into 1lb jars and cover securely
 
  - This chutney is ready for use at once, or will keep for a
    long while.
